Bissy (Cola acuminata), also known as kola nut, is a native of West Africa that was first brought to Jamaica in 1680 by a slave ship from Guinea. It has been a popular drink among Jamaicans ever since, and is also widely regarded for its medicinal properties.
A cola nut that it is used as a poison antidote or as medicine.
